Customer appreciation night

Purple Ink Insurance Agency, Inc., an Ashland business on Alden Street, is hosting its first annual customer appreciation night on Friday, April 1. It will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Mindess School, 90 Concord Street in Ashland.

The highlight of this event will be a “Free Laughter Clinic” by Dr. Sushil Bhatia, globally known innovator, inventor, entrepreneur, author, consultant, professor, and community leader. He is currently the Executive in Residence and Professor at Suffolk University, where he teaches Innovation, New Product Development, and Entrepreneurship. Through a career of over twenty-five years, he has co-developed or invented many products in common use today: Glue Stic, unique convention/seminar name badges, mailing labels, laser/copier labels, binding systems, and electro-sensitive paper.

Bhatia, who also founded Laughing Clubs of America, has authored books including Laughing Your Way to Fitness with Yoga and Meditation (and that’s no joke), and Laughing is a serious matter. In 2003, the U.S. Small Business Administration named him Small Businessperson of the Year for Massachusetts. His April 1 talk will describe successful solutions for dissolving stress.

Purple Ink Insurance invites its customers to enjoy appetizers and kick off their weekend with a smile. In addition to hosting the talk, the agency will raffle off a unique “laughter basket” created by Bravo Baskets (a $250 value). Proceeds benefit the Ashland Education Foundation.
