A good way to start the year All three winners of Power Tune’s monthly “free lunch” drawing were happy to get something back in January. Tom Moran says he’s been taking all his cars to Power Tune/Ashland Discount Tire on Alden Street for over ten years. He exclaimed, “wonderful!” when learning he was getting $150 back from recent repairs, half as a gift certificate to use next time. Moran says he appreciates having Power Tune there because he knows the work will be done right. “They have a great attitude and are always accommodating, even last minute.” When Jay Daly realized he had won a $119 Service One package, his response was, “We need all the help we can get these days.” Daly says his brother recommended Power Tune, and he is very happy with the repair shop. Janet and Maynard Goldman won Power Tune’s third prize in January, a $25 gift certificate to a popular Ashland restaurant. Says Janet Goldman, “It’s always fun to win something, and we love Sunnyside Café, so we’ll make good use of it.” When selling their Wellesley home and moving to Ashland, their painter said he had a great mechanic for them. Twelve years later, the Goldmans are still taking their cars to Power Tune, saying they trust owner, Warren Heaps, implicitly. Both their son and daughter use Power Tune, too. “Our son drives all the way from Attleboro,” Goldman adds.
